The Exodus Mass Casualty Incident Patient Tracking System (XMCI) leverages the reliability and efficiency of innovative technology to create effective and redundant system architecture.

Data Capture:
The Exodus Mass Casualty Incident Patient Tracking System (XMCI) is currently utilizing both Barcode and Passive RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology in the data capture process. Barcode offers us a 30 year history of proven capability, while RFID is quickly becoming the next standard. By leveraging the power of passive RFID in the XMCI system, we are able to provide users with a non-line-of-sight automated data capture solution to create additional efficiencies. In the Exodus MCI system, RFID is the primary data capture method and has proven highly effective in field drills. Barcode is offered as a secondary method of data capture and manual data entry is a tertiary input mechanism.

Data Transmission:
The Exodus Mass Casualty Incident Patient Tracking System (XMCI) is currently utilizing both WWAN and WLAN technologies in our data transmission process. From the handheld device we are able to collect and transmit data via multiple protocols, and the Exodus MCI (XMCI) system continuously and automatically selects the best method.

Other technologies are also being tested for use with the Exodus MCI system. If there is a specific technology you are evaluating for your MCI planning initiatives, please contact our engineering department. It is likely we are already working with the technology and, under an NDA, will be happy to share our findings.

Redundant Technology

The Exodus MCI Patient Tracking solution incorporates multiple technologies to ensure a robust and redundant solution. Multiple data collection capabilities, multiple data transmission technologies, and redundant network infrastructure ensure a reliable and vigilant solution.
